Why is Tivifyer not on the Amazon Appstore?

Amazon does not accept generic IPTV players in its store. Tivifyer includes no content, but Amazon policy makes no distinction, so it is installed directly with the Downloader app.

Is it safe to install Tivifyer with Downloader?

Yes. The APK is signed by Norvani Holdings LLC with the same key as the Google Play version and its SHA-256 fingerprint is published at tivifyer.com/en/firetv.

How does Tivifyer update on Fire TV?

The app tells you when a new version is available. Type the same code in Downloader again and it installs over the old one without losing playlists or settings.

STEP 1

Install Downloader

Search for Downloader (by AFTVnews, orange icon) in your Fire TV store and install it. It is free and official on the Amazon Appstore.

Search → "Downloader" → Get

STEP 2

Allow Downloader to install apps

Fire TV asks for permission only once. If you can't see "Developer options", go to About and press the device name seven times.

Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options →
Install unknown apps → Downloader → ON

STEP 3

Type the code

Open Downloader, type the code 8265285 in the address field and press Go. The Tivifyer download starts by itself.

Downloader → Home → 8265285 → Go

STEP 4

Install and add your playlist

Press Install, open Tivifyer and add your M3U or Xtream playlist. With the QR code at tivifyer.com/tv you don't type anything. The app itself tells you when there is an update.

Downloader says it cannot install

The permission from step 2 is missing. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps and turn Downloader on. On older Fire OS versions the option is called "Apps from unknown sources".

What about Android TV, Google TV or NVIDIA Shield?

None of this is needed there: Tivifyer is on Google Play.
